Walking shouldn't feel like a race. These trails give you time to breathe, to enjoy the views, and to feel strong doing it. We've mapped out the easiest routes with proper rest spots so you can focus on what matters — being outside.
What Makes These Trails Different
Croagh Patrick's lower loop offers stunning mountain views without the demanding ascent. The path winds gradually through natural terrain, giving your legs a proper workout without strain. Most people complete it in 2-3 hours at a relaxed pace.
The Westport Greenway is a converted railway path, which means zero elevation change. It's paved, well-marked, and dotted with benches every few hundred meters. Perfect for days when you want distance without the hill effort. The full loop is about 5km and takes roughly 90 minutes walking casually.
We've identified the best spots to sit, stretch, and take in the view. Some have benches, some have natural rock seating. A few have picnic tables if you want to bring lunch. No guessing where you can safely stop — we've done that work for you.
